There's someone in my head, but it's not me.
-Pink Floyd
Man is least himself when he talks in his own person; give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.
-Oscar Wilde
For out of what we live and we believe, our lives become the stories that we weave.
-Lynn Ahrens
I make games that transform thoughts, feelings, beliefs, ethics, personalities, identities, and relationships.
I am an narrative and transpersonal alchemist, building upon the works of Carl Jung, Wilhelm Reich, David Lukoff, Stan Grof, Austin Osman Spare, Peter Carroll, Phil Hine, Robert Anton Wilson, Grant Morrison, Caroline Myss, Nick Walker, Whitney "Strix" Beltran, and Sarah Lynne Bowman
I like to explore themes related to queerness, neurodiversity, Judaism, paganism, synthetic ("artificial") intelligence, empathy, collaboration, psychological archetypes, ecology, and social systems.
Deeply mythological and symbolic games are my favorite.
For those familiar with psychology, some of my favorite topics to explore in my game designs include post-traumatic and post-ecstatic growth, animal cognition, mirror neurons, in-group and out-group bias, cargo cults, moral panics, transliminality, and metacognition. I am most familiar with humanistic, psychodynamic, and transpersonal approaches to psychology.
I number my game releases like software, even though they are analog; I'm an open-source nerd and have worked in IT support for the better part of 3 decades. Like most IT people, I enjoy science fiction and horror... but fantasy is the fiction I loved first.
My pronouns are they/them.
My Bluesky profile is here, and my Facebook profile is here. I use Bluesky for more serious posts, and Facebook mostly for light-hearted stuff.
The rest of my contact info is here, and my games that aren't on itch.io can be found here.
Open to collaborations, commissions, and feedback from players, designers, publishers, educators, psychology or sociology professionals, or clergy.
I would particularly like to work on a PC, mobile, or console game. If you are a programmer or visual artist who would enjoy working on a visual novel or pixel-art RPG, please let me know if you might be interested in collaborating.
